Manuscript, "Pinkas Hadikduk" (grammar notebook) - composition on Hebrew grammar. Casale Monferrato, Italy, 1726. Judeo-Italian interspersed with many Hebrew words and terms.
Handsome Italian Hebrew semi-cursive script. Includes explanations and examples in Italian of Hebrew tenses, pronunciation, and more. The first four pages of the manuscript contain many inscriptions and scribbles, including several ownership inscriptions, some partially crossed out: "This grammar book belongs to me, Rephael David Ashkenazi, Casale, 1726". A further listing reads: "Rabbi Baki", evidently a family member of the well-known Kabbalist R. Shimshon Baki of Casale, teacher of the Rabach, who passed away in 1691.
[29] leaves. 18.5 cm. Good-fair condition. Stains. Wear (mostly to the margins), and a few tears. New binding. Bookplate.
