Manuscript volume containing several essays and notes. Unknown author, Ashkenazi handwriting [apparently written in Eretz Israel around 1930, by an elderly author with a shaky handwriting].
This volume’s main essay is about biblical grammar, an index and compilation of the contextual meaning of all the “Et” used in the Bible. [See Gemara Kidushin 57, Baba Kama 41 – “Nechemia Ha-Amsoni interpreted every “Et” in the Bible]. Additional novellae were written in this present manuscript, an inventory of the books in the author’s library and an Aramaic-Hebrew-Yiddish dictionary. There are names quoted on the forsatz pages to be mentioned in prayers for healing, success, and elevation of souls.
[199] pages, long and narrow format. 20X49 cm. Good condition, worn cloth binding. The notebook has a tied flax thread on all leaves stamped with a wax seal.
