A consolation letter, in the handwriting of Rebbe "Avraham Ya'akov ben Yisrael of Sadigura". Tel-Aviv, Elul 5701 (1941).
Rabbi Avraham Ya’akov Friedman, Sadigura Rebbe, Vienna-Tel Aviv, great grandson of Rabbi Yisrael of Ruzhin. Born in 1884 to his father Rabbi Yisrael, son of Rabbi Avraham Ya’akov of Sadigura, son of Rabbi Yisrael of Ruzhin. Son-in-law of Rabbi Yitzhak Meir of Kopitshnitz. In 1907, he became a Rebbe and was one of the founders of "Agudat Israel" and an active member of the "Va’ad HaPo’el" and "Mo’etzet Gedolei HaTorah". Before the Holocaust, he immigrated to Tel Aviv, where he established his court, which he led until his death on the 5th of Tevet 5720( 1960).
Official stationary, 29.5 cm. Scribal handwriting signed by the Rebbe. Good condition, folding creases and minor stains.
