Addressed to R. Shmuel Levin. Good year wishes – "a good inscription and sealing for the upcoming year", with thanks for the special donation of "beautiful and good-quality dishes" to the yeshiva: "…and may he be blessed with all good, peace and great success in all his endeavors, him and his household".
R. Moshe Feinstein (1895-1986), foremost halachic authority in the United States, leader of Orthodox Jewry, president of the Union of Orthodox Rabbis and chairman of the Moetzet Gedolei HaTorah. He served as dean of the Tiferet Yerushalayim yeshiva in New York. He authored: Responsa Igrot Moshe, Dibrot Moshe – Talmudic novellae and Dorash Moshe – novellae on the Torah.
