Letter from Rebbe Yosef Yitzchak Schneersohn – the Rayatz of Lubavitch, with his hand signature. Brooklyn NY, 25th Nissan 1949.
Typewritten on the official stationery of Rebbe Rayatz, with his signature "Yosef Yitzchak", and with the addition of two words in his handwriting.
Addressed to R. Naftali Gluskin, on the occasion of his immigration to Eretz Israel. In his letter, the Rayatz blesses him: "Blessed be their arrival in peace in the Holy Land", and advises him regarding his wife's work (Mrs. Tamar Ita Gluskin. See letter of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, item 35): "and regarding his question about a position for his wife, it would be suitable for her to work in education in Beit Rivkah". The rebbe concludes with a blessing: "May G-d strengthen their health and provide them with good and plentiful livelihood".
At the end of the letter, after "HaMevarcham" (=who blesses them), the rebbe added the words "in material and spiritual matters" in his own handwriting; signing with his famous signature of the final year of his life, with the letter Yud (in his second name) in Ashuri script.
The present letter was never published in Igrot Kodesh of Rebbe Rayatz.
