"Sefer HaMiknah", deed form for purchasing land in Jerusalem. [Jerusalem, 1870s]. "Next to Jerusalem on the way to Nablus there is land….which belongs to Yochanan Zvi Schlank[…]" Printed on pink paper, in a frame with a verse from the Book of Jeremiah, 32, verses 15, 54. Rabbi Yochanan Zvi Schlank, a scholar, disciple of Hachatam Sofer. One of the founders of" Nachlat Shiva "neighborhood, the first who established a two-floors building in Jerusalem and "Gabai "of "Holland and Deutschland Kolel" . It is not absolutely clear whether this form was used for purchasing land in one of the neighborhoods outside of the City's walls, or maybe this is a way of raising money by selling land in Eretz Israel. 24X22.5 cm. Good condition. Has not been in use. Minor tears to margin, folding-marks. Bibliographically unknown and not mentioned by Shoshana HaLevi.
