Otto Moritz Schiff, a Jewish banker, was chairman and treasurer of the committee. On the title page appears an illustration depicting a Jewish refugee family. The issue also includes special pages for children about Hanukkah accompanied by illustrations and the first stanza of "Maoz Zur".
