Passover Haggadah, from slavery to freedom. HIL [Hativah Yehudit Lochemet] third regiment. Eindhoven, Holland, [1946].
Non-traditional Haggadah. Typewritten text with handwritten titles, stenciled, with simple illustrations. "Yizkor" in memory of the Brigade victims and other interesting texts. An illustration on the cover expresses the spirit of the people of Israel revival after the holocaust: the emblem of HIL as a head of a soldier, the map of Eretz Israel as the soldier's body while his arm is stretched holding a pick-axe; barbed wires and iron chains next to "Homah U-Migdal" settlements. The third regiment of the Brigade was moved to Holland and Belgium at the end of July 1945. The companies were scattered in Holland and supervised units of German prisoners who cleared mines and restored the infrastructure. Several months after Passover 1946 the regiment was dismantled and the soldiers were discharged. [1], 7 leaves + [1] leaf "songs for the Pesach dinner", 33 cm. Fair-good condition. Foxing-marks. Tear to cover. Folds at corners. Some of the printing is blurred. Tears to last leaf; pasted to an additional leaf. Horizontal folding marks.
