Igeret Shmuel, commentary on Megillat Ruth, by Rabbi Shmuel Ozida. Zholkva, [1800].
On the title page is the signature "Shmuel Heller" – Rabbi Shmuel Heller (1786-1884, Otzar HaRabbanim 19134). Torah genius, erudite in other professions and a physician, was raised in the home of the Chozeh of Lublin and following his counsel ascended to Eretz Yisrael. Served as Rabbi of Safed for 60 years.
On the title page beside the signature are inscriptions in another handwriting [faded] of names for which to pray "Avraham Moshe ben Chana for repentance", "Lipa Yitzchak ben Chavale Chana". Possibly, the book was given as a kvittel to one of the early Safed rebbes. Stamps of Rabbi Ze'ev Wolf Heller [son-in-law of Rabbi Shmuel Heller].
