In the book appear: A poem by the Spanish poet and historian, resident of Amsterdam, Miguel de Barrios, 1635-1701, family of Marranos son), a description of the battle on Buda between the Austrian army and Turkish forces in 1687 and the complete version of a letter sent by the Jews of Buda to Leopold I, Emperor of Austria (pages 183-195) following his conquest of the city. The Jews express in this letter their loyalty and their tradition to pray for peace and prosperity of the state in which they live, with reference to many historical instances, based on the history of the Spanish Jewry.
