Near each of the subjects photographed a number is written. Upon the reverse side of the cardboard where the photograph is glued, in handwriting: “A souvenir of my work in the Vilna “HeChalutz” union, those in the picture who are now on their way to Israel you will soon see, and the others - hopefully you will see them in the near future including myself…”.
