The book opens with a handwritten dedication by Agnon: "To my friend Siegfried Moses, S.Y. Agnon". Siegfried Moses (1887-1974), a Jewish lawyer, economist and Zionist activist in Germany, one of the senior managers of Schocken enterprises. When he made Aliya to Eretz Israel he served as the first State Comptroller. 122, [2] pp, 24 cm. Good condition. Minor tears and creases at margin of some of the leaves, tears to spine.
