Har HaKarmel, supercommentary on the Siftei Kohen commentary on laws of Niddah and Mikvaot, and on the commentary of the Gaon of Vilna on Shulchan Aruch Yoreh De'ah, by R. Shimon Kromnau-Oppenheim. Prague, 1812. Only edition.
The title page states that this work contains a supercommentary to the concise and not easily understood commentary of the Gaon of Vilna on Yoreh De'ah.
Lists of Prenumeranten (subscribers) from the cities of Moravia and Hungary were printed at the beginning of the book. On the final page of the lists, there is a foreword by the publisher, R. "Shmuel HaKatan".
The author, R. Shimon Oppenheim (Otzar HaRabbanim 19803), son of R. David Kromnau and son-in-law of R. Aryeh Leib Oppenheim. He served as dayan and posek in Kittsee and head of the Beit Din in Pest. Author of Har HaMoriah and Nezer HaKodesh.
[7], 3-31 leaves. 21 cm. Good-fair condition. Stains, including large dampstains. Minor wear. Marginal tears to several leaves, not affecting text, repaired in part. Minor worming. New binding.
The Bibliography of the Hebrew Book lists [8] leaves at the beginning of the book. The present copy appears to be missing one prenumeranten leaf. The Thesaurus of the Books of the Vilna Gaon only lists [7] leaves at the beginning of the book, presumably based on this copy.
