Hanging Sabbath lamp (Judenstern) [Germany, 18th/19th century].
Cast and engraved brass.
Drip bowl (without a pendant), oil container with six pointed oil fonts, cylindrical baluster shaft, rounded and narrow alternately. On the second third of the shaft are slots for decorations of branches and for oil fonts (missing). A decoration of a two-headed eagle appears above the shaft, to which a clover-leaf shaped suspension-hook is attached. Ratchet suspension-hook for adjustable height, decorated with a bird.
Height: 42 cm, width: 23 cm. Good condition. Lacking decorations. Damages and old repairs.
