Collection of notebooks and documents, papers and letters, of Rabbi Yosef Leib Hamburger and sons, who served as librarians of the Etz Chaim Yeshiva Library in Jerusalem. Notebooks with lists of book of the yeshiva library and lists of Rabbi Yosef Leib Hamburger's private library. Notebooks of books lent out during 1932-1975.
The notebooks have lists of hundreds of people who lent books to take home including many leading rabbis, tzaddikim and prominent figures in Jerusalem. (For example: Rabbi Eliyahu Zlotnik, Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Auerbach, Rabbi Avraham Ya'akov Zelaznik, Rabbi Shmuel Huminer, Rabbi Aryeh Levine, Rabbi Pinchas Epstein, Rabbi Hillman, Rabbi Shmuel Aharon Yudelevitch, Rabbi Shmuel Tefilinsky etc.) – According to these interesting lists you can see the lenders' areas of interest and the names of books they were lacking. The data in the notebooks were completed in the librarians' handwriting, and sometimes in the handwriting of the lenders with their signatures.
