The poster depicts a large portrait of Ze'ev Jabotinsky along with verses from his poems "HaNeder" [The Oath] and "Smol HaYarden" [lit. The Left (Bank) of the Jordan, also known as "Two Banks to the Jordan"]. At the bottom of the poster is a quote from Lt. Col. MF Scott, second commander of the 40th Battalion of Royal Fusiliers (the so-called "Palestine Battalion" of the Jewish Legion): "A great privilege has been bestowed upon England: We have taken a page from the Bible, upon which is written the most ancient of prophecies, and alongside this Divine document we have proclaimed England's solemn assurance. The nation cannot wash its hands of this commitment." (Hebrew).
