Genealogy album documenting the history of a Jewish-German extended family starting at the second half of the 19th cent. until the second half of the 20th cent.
The album opens with a family tree; 59 photos have been pasted to the album leaves (many photos from the late 19th cent. and early 20th cent.), as well as 30 additional items (calling cards, invitations to family events, a postcard, newspaper cuttings, etc.), documenting the extended family in Germany (mainly portrait photos and family photos) and in Eretz Israel. Some of the family members moved to Eretz Israel in the 1930s-40s and died there in the 1970s. Some family members were murdered in extermination camps in Poland (amongst the album leaves are names of family members who perished in the holocaust). Families mentioned in the album are: Dinkelspuehler, Wilmersdoerfer, Fuerth (Fürth), Spier, Frank and Schwestern, from Darmstadt, Wiesbaden and Frankfurt am Main. Album 40.5X30 cm. Good condition.
