Five press photographs depicting, among others, agricultural work, construction works and establishing settlements in Palestine. 1938-1949.
1. A photograph of a group of workers building a structure in a settlement near Acre, 23.12.1938. The photograph shows a woman supervising the construction by means of a blueprint.
2-3. Two photographs of the Jezreel Valley, April 28, 1947: a farmer, carrying a gun, working the land with a horse and plow; a settlement surrounded by a fence with a guard tower at its center.
4. A photograph of a group of workers building a structure in a settlement of Tal-Shachar at the foot of the Judaean Mountains, 11.6.1948.
5. A photograph of a group of workers during the establishment of Kibbutz Gesher-HaZiv, February 1949.
On verso of the photographs, press information notes (English), stamps, handwritten notes and stickers.
Size of photographs: 18x23 cm. Good overall condition. Stains, creases and minor blemishes. Small tears along the edges. Handwritten markings on the fron of two of the photographs. Tears to one of the information notes.
