At the beginning of the "Bereshit" volume is a long dedication from 1922, handwritten and signed by the author, Rabbi Gavriel Ze'ev Margaliot (1848-1935, Otzar HaRabbanim 4305) son-in-law of the famous tzaddik Rabbi Nechumke of Horodna. A leading preacher in his times and a foremost rabbi in the USA. In 1924, he founded an independent rabbinical organization called "Knesset of Orthodox Rabbis".
