Envelope with 9 "HaDo'ar HaIvri" stamps (no tabs), with a postal ink stamp of 16.5 1948. David Ben-Gurion's signature was added on the envelope, in pen, in Hebrew and in English.
The first "Do'ar Ivri" series of stamps was designed by Otte Wallish (1906-1977), right after the declaration of independence. The series consists of ten different stamps and bear the inscription "Do'ar Ivri" since during the printing of the stamps the official name of the state of Israel was not yet determined.
Envelope 10X19 cm. Good condition.
