Four photographs of King David Hotel in Jerusalem after its south wing was exploded by the Etzel underground. Jerusalem, July 22, 1946.
British soldiers are seen surrounding the rubble, as well as an overall view of the hotel with the ruined wing. Ink-stamped on the reverse "The Matson Photo Service, Jerusalem, Palestine". 91 people were killed in the explosion. Included is an additional photograph of the hotel, prior to the explosion. Four photographs 12x9 cm, good condition, stains (mainly on the reverse); photograph 9x6.5 cm, good condition, annotated in pencil on the reverse.
