"End of the World", portfolio with a dozen lithographs by Uriel Birnbaum, accompanied by a sonnet composed by him. Copy no. 119 from an edition of 150 numbered copies. The lithographs and the illustrated title page as well as the sonnet leaf (also in lithographic printing) are signed by Birnbaum in pencil.
Uriel Birnbaum (1894-1956), expressionist painter, author and poet, born in Vienna. Son of the Zionist philosopher Nathan Birnbaum.
[15] plates, 48 cm. Portfolio: 36X50 cm. Good condition. Creases and folds around the margins of the plates, some stains. Worn portfolio, with tears. Ex-Libris and library ink-stamp on the portfolio.
