Signatures of Rabbi "Shmuel ben Avraham Alkalai". The book leaves have dozens of glosses in his tiny handwriting.
Rabbi Shmuel Alkalai, a rabbi of Tiberias, son of Rabbi Avraham Alkalai of Dupnitsa (Bulgaria), author of Chesed L'Avraham and Zechor L'Avraham etc. [mentioned in the introduction to Chesed L'Avraham Thessaloniki 1813]. In 1831, Rabbi Yehuda Nechmad was among the Tiberias rabbis who signed the emissary letter [see attached material].
