The document outlines a trial held in a military court of Alexandroni Division, on September 6, 1948. Two religious cooks were charged for refusing to cook on Shabbat. Chief Military Rabbi S. Gorenchik (Shlomo Goren) and head of the Military Religious Service Nathan Gerdi testified in this trial. The court sentenced the cooks to three months in prison claiming that this punishment was mild only due to attenuating circumstances.
