Twenty six issues of "The Hammer", a communist workers' monthly published between the years 1926-1939. 3rd year, issues 1-12, January to December 1928; 4th year, issues 6-7, November-December 1930; 5th year, issues 1-12, January-December 1931. Title-pages of most issues with impressive illustrations by various artists: M. Pass, Yosl Kotler, Fred Elis, W. Gropper, Louis Lozowick. I. Daynow. G. Kolsky, W. Siegel and others. All of the issues are bound together in two volumes, issues of the 4th and 5th years are bound in one volume. Volumes 28.5, 30.5 cm. Good condition.
