Ketubah recording the marriage of the groom, Avraham ben Ya'akov, and the bride, Malka bat Simcha. Herat, Afghanistan, Tammuz 5637 [1877].
At the top of the ketubah are five empty gates. At the bottom are five empty medallions. The ketubah ends with a blessing customary among the Jews of Afghanistan: "May they have a long and fruitful life, in the name of Moses and Israel". Witnesses' signatures.
