Copper sign to be carried on a unit-flag or a flagpole, for the veterans of the War of Independence. 1949.
In the center an inscription "for active service in the War of Independence, 1948-1949), and decorations of sword, fig leaf, olive tree branch and the emblem of the state; on the reverse side the inscription" if you say in your heart : the foes are numerous – do not be scared of them", within two olive tree branches, and a Maggen David.
Height: 56 cm, width: 43.5 cm. Good condition. Corrosion. One of the posts fastening the sign to its frame is out of its place.
