Two self-published postcards concerning the British Mandate in Eretz Israel. Published by Aharon Eliyahu Polak, Tel-Aviv, 1931, 1936.
1. Postcards for Purim 1931, "Lema'an Zion Lo Achashe". The postcard features a text with a prophetic message inspired by Balfour calling to fulfill the declaration on behalf of the British government: "National home for the people of Israel in Eretz Israel".
9X14 cm, good condition. Slightly stained margins.
2. Postcard for Purim 1936, portraying "Flag of the people of Israel who gave the Bible to the whole world", "Flag of Great Britain who cherishes and respects the Bible" on both sides of a bible book above the verse "Vehachut hameshulash lo bemehera yinatek". The text also cites verses and themes from the Scroll of Esther and on the bottom the inscription "If you will it is no dream" (Hebrew).
9X14 cm, good condition. Foxing, worn margins.
