Two ketubot from the village of Ayat-Yemi In Morocco. 1950.
Presumably, the husband wrote one of the Ketubot to his wife after their marriage. Both Ketubot are from the same husband to the same wife, but the dates and names of the witnesses differ. The first Ketubah bears the date Shevat 15, and the witnesses are: "Chaim ben Moshe Gabbai and David ben Shlomo Ibn Chamo". The second Ketubah is dated Adar 19, and the witnesses are "David ben Shlomo Ibn Chamo and Yitzchak ben Shlomo Yifrach"
In the text of the Ketubah, the groom undertakes "Not to take his wife from this town to another town without her willing consent, and not to marry another wife as long as he is married to this wife, in accordance with the accepted custom of today".
