Obverse: denomination and the legend "Mikweh Israel." Reverse: "AIU" [Alliance Israélite Universelle].

According to Shachar, Mikveh Israel tokens resemble the Zikhron Ya'akov tokens [issued in 1885], and were probably minted in the same period by the same mint.
