The days of Shovevim are Mondays and Thursdays during the winter when the Parshiot of Shovevim are read (Shemot, Va'era, Bo, Beshalach, Yitro and Mishpatim). According to kabbala, these days are especially endowed for correcting sins. Various communities are accustomed to fasting, repenting and saying special selichot during these days.
