1-3. Three womens' blouses for ceremonies and holidays. Tunisia (probably, Djerba), [first decades of 20th century].
Silk and cotton fabric strips sewn together, silk thread embroidery, fabric ribbons.
Two of these blouses are asymmetrical since they were worn under a fabric cloak over one shoulder; only one sleeve and the front of the blouse are made of prestigious fabrics while the other parts of the garment, which are hidden, are made of printed cotton fabric.
Approx. 95X65 cm, 85X55 cm. Fair condition, varying. Tears, unraveling and stains.
4. A woman's headdress, for daily use (Kufi-ye). Tunisia (probably, Djerba), [first decades of 20th century].
Silk and cotton fabrics, gilt metal thread embroidery on padding.
17X10X26 cm. Good condition.
