Three large press photographs taken during flights of the British Royal Air Force over Palestine. Jerusalem, the Dead Sea and Qarantal, 1936.
1. Photograph of a Hawker Hart aircraft while distributing flyers above Jerusalem. Photographs portray the YMCA building, King David Hotel, the Old City, German Colony and other sites. Ink-stamped on the back: Charles E. Brown (London). 23X28.5 cm. Good condition. Stains, creases and slight defects. Pencil inscriptions on upper margins of photograph.
2. Photograph of three aircrafts above the shores of the Dead Sea. Ink-stamped on the back: Fox Photos Ltd. (London). Approx. 30X25 cm. Good condition. Slight defects at margins. Stains on the back.
3. Photograph of three aircrafts above Qarantal ("Mount of Temptation"), near Jericho. Stamped on the back with ink-stamp: Fox Photos Ltd. (London). 25.5X20 cm. Good condition. Slight defects. Slight stains on verso.
