A bundle of letters, from Rabbi Yitzchak Meir Levin sent to the Radzyn Rebbe, Rebbe Avraham Yissachar Englard. Letters of New Year greetings, letters regarding issues of Agudat Yisrael etc. 1949-1969.
Rabbi Yitzchak Meir Levin (1894-1971), leader of Worldwide Agudat Yisrael in Poland and in Eretz Israel, son-in-law of Rebbe Avraham Mordechai of Gur immigrated to Eretz Israel in 1940, managed the issues of the Charedi Jews with the authorities during the time of the establishment of the State of Israel and served as minister in the first governments of Israel.
The letters' recipient: Rabbi Avraham Yissachar Englard (1910-2006), son-in-law of Rebbe Mordechai Yosef Elazar of Radzyn. Head of the chain of Radzyn Yeshivot in Poland. All his family and his father-in-law's family perished in the Holocaust and he miraculously survived. After the Holocaust, served as Av Beit Din of Sosnovitsa in Poland, from there he immigrated to the US and in 1954 was crowned Rebbe of Radzyn. In the 1970s, immigrated to Eretz Israel.
