Stenography Manuscript – Lectures on the Subject of Judaism, Including a Lecture about the Temple – Wales, 18th Century

Opening: $500
Unsold
Manuscript – lectures about Judaism and the Hebrew language. Rhydygors [south-west Wales], 1781-1782. English (written in shorthand, except for the title page and the table of content), with some Hebrew. Second volume.
The manuscript is divided into chapters (lectures) dealing, among other subjects, with the Temple and its vessels, the synagogue, Hebrew orthography, and more. The volume opens with a title page: "Dan. [Daniel] Daviess… / Written at Rhydygors / Dom. 1781 1782 / Tom II". The manuscript is bound in a leather binding with a title on the spine: "Jewish Antiquities 2". It seems that this is a volume with summaries of lectures written by an academy student in Wales.
[1], 270-274, 1-187, [3] leaves (most are written on one side), 15.5 cm. Good condition. Thick paper. Some stains. Stains, small tears and blemishes to binding.
