Peretz Markish' first book of poems which ensured his position as one of the leading Yiddish poets in the USSR. The book contains illustrations and decorated titles by Joseph Tchaikov. The cover of the book and its title page were also illustrated by Tchaikov.
1-52, 59-163 + [3] leaves (table of contents and an advertising leaf for books published by "Yiddisher Falks-Farlag"). Three leaves (pp. 53-58) are missing. 21.5 cm. Good condition. Signature on the corner of the first page and penned markings on some of the leaves. A few stains and tears. Minor blemishes to cover. The spine is restored.
