Shibolim, illustrated library for children and for youth. Published by A. Gutlin, Warsaw-Tel-Aviv, 1936.
Series of about 60 vowelized and illustrated booklets of 16-20 pages, most of them contain adaptations of folk tales (mostly with no mention of name of writer). The main adapter and translator of tens of booklets was Eliyahu Haim Chinich, until he immigrated to Mexico in 1922. Illustrations were created by Haim Goldberg (Hagai) who illustrated other books for Gitlin as well.
Offered here is a mostly complete set which was published in a second edition in 1936. (Lacking are booklets 21-22, 25-26, 33-34, 37-38, 43-44, 45-46, 47-48, 49-50, 53-54. Total of 9 booklets). 17 cm. Fair condition. Stains. Wear. Detached wrappers and leaves.
