Seven photographs documenting the students, the teachers and the operations of the Bezalel academy of art. Palestine and the United States, ca. 1908 through 1926.
1-3. Three photographs of Bezalel students, [ca. 1908].
• Girls engaged in handicraft in Bezalel workshop, supervised by two Bezalel artists. • Jewelry department in Bezalel. • Workshop for metal works in Bezalel.
Approx. 14.5X10.5 cm. Two photographs are partly pasted to cardboard sheets; the third photograph is detached from the sheet. Good-fair condition. Stains, creases and tears to two of the photographs.
4. Photograph of a classroom, by Ya'akov Ben-Dov, (signed), [ca. 1908]. The photograph is titled on the back.
21.5X16.5 cm. Good condition. Blemishes and small tears to margins of photograph. Pasting traces on the back. A defect repaired with adhesive tape.
5. Group photograph of Bezalel students with their teachers in the Bezalel museum, [1921]. Seen in this picture are Boris Schatz, Ze'ev Raban, Abel Pann, and others, with "The Eternal Jew" by Shmuel Hirshberg hanging behind them. The photograph is titled on the back.

23.5X14.5 cm. Good condition. Minor creases and blemishes. Small tear at margins, repaired with adhesive tape. A piece of adhesive tape on one corner, on verso.
