Sefer Yetsirah, attributed to Avraham Avinu, "with an adequate, nice and pleasant commentary" [of Rabbi Moshe Hagole of Kiev]. Printed and edited by Rabbi Shimon Ashkenazi and Rabbi Shlomo of Levitzak. Koritz, [1779].
A basic kabbalah book, of the first kabbalistic books printed in Russia in general and in Koritz in particular.
On the front page "the great work" of the author is mentioned which is the book "Shoshan Sodot", the last part of the book that includes "secrets" 1704-1896. The first part was printed in Koritz, 1774.
On page [31] a picture of the constellations with the months of the year and combinations of the Holy Names as they appear in Sefer Yetsirah.
The Holy Gaon Rabbi Shlomo of Levitzak (1740-1813), a student of the Magid of Mezritch. Great kabbalist. Wrote the book Divrat Shlomo.
35 (instead of 36) leaves, 21.5cm. Missing last page and the page before the last is torn. Fair-poor condition. Worn, moth holes and stains. Missing binding [original sewing of booklets with uneven stitches].
