Sefer HaMusar, "man should hearken to the words of ethics and go on the good path", by Rabbi Yehuda Klatz. Cracow, 1598. Third edition.
Rabbi Yehuda Klatz the First (Otzar HaRabbanim 6974), was born c. 1550 in Spain. In 1586, he arrived at Talmasan in Algeria where he was appointed Dayan and held an important position. This book was first published (in Constatinople, 1597 – see previous Item), by his relative Rabbi Moshe Klatz, who was one of the Safed Mekubalim, and Rabbi Moshe added glosses according to the Sod dimension of Torah and the Zohar.
180 leaves. 19.5 cm. Good-fair condition. Stains, moth damage and restored damage on first and last leaves. New cover, semi-leather.
