Invitation to Purim festivities of the Ohel theater held in 1935 in the Levant Fair compound. Linocut in red and green. The illustration depicts Queen Esther riding the Flying Camel (symbol of the Levant Fair).
The Ohel theater organized Purim balls since 1929 and during the 1930s. For the event in 1935 the large hall of the "Totzeret HaAretz" pavilion in the Levant Fair was decorated by the best painters of the period, including Avigdor Steimatsky and Aryeh Elhanani.
63.5X94.5 cm. Good-fair condition. Folding marks and some creases. Stains. Numerous tears, restored (some with color completions). The entire poster is mounted on thin, acid free, paper.
