On the departure of our master the wise King Friedrich the Second with his army. Berlin, 1866.
"At the end of 1856, it has been fixed here in Berlin to say every day in the synagogues in public after the praise of Aleinu… and afterwards the shatz shall say this prayer."
German and Hebrew, printed left to right. The poem opens with the words "G-d rules the world with his might," followed by the prayer "Hashem, Rock of all Worlds…".
Eliezer Lazer Landshut claims that the author of the poem and the prayer is Rabbi Zvi Hirsh son of Rabbi Aryeh Yehuda Leib Lipshitz, and that the translator is Moshe Mendelson.
