Detailed plan consisting of twelve paragraphs, composed by the brothers Yosef and Shimon Szántó (Hungarians), for the establishment of a new, modern school in Vienna to replace the "Heder" (Talmud Torah), similar to schools already established in Frankfurt and Hamburg. A dormitory will be erected next to the school; the teaching methods will be modern and in the spirit of the times, the syllabus will include sciences, history, drawing, mathematics, and extracurricular activities such as gymnastics, agriculture, handicrafts and more. The school was founded in 1849 and directed by Shimon Szántó (see enclosed material). [4]pp, 27cm. Good condition. Minor creases and stains.
