A series of 92 photographic postcards depicting the views of Palestine – cities, agricultural colonies and Kibbutzim. Jaffa: "Eliyahu Bros.", [1920s].
Out of a series; numbered 149-241 (postcard no. 211 is missing). These postcards delineate a portrait of Palestine, from the old to the new: Jerusalem, Jaffa, Tiberias, Acre and Safed; Tel-Aviv, Haifa, Rehovot, Rishon LeZion, Gedera, Nes Ziona and other agricultural colonies; agricultural works in Ein Harod and paving the road to Nahalal; a portrait of the High Commissioner Herbert Samuel; and more.
The postcards are placed in an original card box of the publishing house, the lid reading "Eliahu Bros. – Jaffa, Palestine" in Hebrew and English.
14X9 cm. Good condition. Several stains to verso of postcards. Postcard no. 211 is missing. Box: 16X10X3.5 cm. Good condition. Minor blemishes. Pen notation to lid.
