Copy of R. Eliyahu Menachem Goitein Rabbi of Hőgyész, with his handwritten inscriptions, one including his signature, on the front endpapers and stamps on the title page. Familial inscriptions from the 1820s-1830s on the endpapers.
R. Eliyahu Menachem Goitein Rabbi of Hőgyész (1839-1902), son of R. Tzvi Hirsch Goitein and grandson of the Kesef Nivchar. A disciple of the Ketav Sofer.
16, [1], 16-17, [3] leaves. Leaves 11-12 bound out of sequence, after leaf 14. Approx. 22 cm. Fair condition. Stains, including dark stains. Open tears and worming, with significant damage to text, mostly repaired with paper (most leaves restored). New leather binding.
