The Author: Rabbi Zvi Hirsch Kara , Av Beit Din of Butchatch, was among the leading Geonim of his time (1740-1814, Otzar Ha-Rabbanim 17447), father in law of the Admor Rabbi Avraham David Wahrman, rabbi of Butchatch and author of"Birkat David","Eshel Avraham" and"Da'at Kedoshim" where he brings down many of his father in law's novellae.
