On August 1966, a fighter aircraft MIG 21 – the most advanced aircraft that Arab armies owned at that time - landed at the air force base in Chatzor after the Mossad's Blue Bird-The Diamond Operation. Afterwards, the MIG was moved to the US Air Force, which led to the end of the US weapons embargo on Israel, and to exchanging the French Mirage in IDF service for American Phantoms.
