Obverse: Image of the Synagogue building, and below the Hebrew date (5665).
Reverse: Star of David with the words “Tikvat Israel Community" (Hebrew) and in a circular frame the words “Great synagogue Cape Town - Consecrated 13 sept. 1905” (English). [The name Tikvat Israel refers to the Cape of Good Hope, after which Cape Town is named.]
Diameter: 37 mm. Fair condition.
