Mayse-Bikhl, mit litografyes un holtshniten fun Lasar Segall, David Berglsohn. Berlin: Wostok, 1923. Yiddish.Tales by David Berglsohn, with illustrations by Lasar Segall, Jewish painter, etcher and sculptor, born in Vilnius. Berglsohn (1884-1952), Yiddish playwright and author, was executed by Stalin in 1952.
Copy no. 10 from an elaborate edition of one hundred copies printed on paper of exceptional quality and bound in vellum binding, with gilt embossing and with a bookmark. Signed by Berglsohn and Segall. Initials are colored by hand.
48 pp + [8] illustration plates, 27 cm. Uneven edges. Good condition. Foxing (dark stains to endpapers, the first blank leaf and the last printed leaf. The other leaves are mostly clean). Slight defects to spine.
