Masei HaYareach, travelogue of R. Rachamim Yosef Chaim Oplatka in Eretz Israel. Jerusalem: Eliyahu and Moshe Chai Sason, 1876.
Travelogue detailing the trip of the author, R. Rachamim Yosef Chaim Oplatka, in Eretz Israel, from Jerusalem to Shechem, Tiberias, Safed, Meron, Acre, Haifa, Jaffa, Mikveh Yisrael and back to Jerusalem. The author notes the condition of the Jews he met in each place as well as the synagogues and Jewish public institutions, gravesites of righteous people (including a description of the celebration of R. Meir Baal HaNes), and more.
The author, R. Rachamim Yosef Oplatka (1847-1907), son of R. Yitzchak Oplatka-Prague, one of the last disciples of the Chatam Sofer. A Jerusalem Torah scholar, he traveled to Safed and additional cities in Eretz Israel, and published his journal in the present work.
